Name Tinker Bell Fandom Disney: Fairies Age 12 Point in Canon Midway through the Pirate Fairy Alignment: Heaven Powers: Thanks to a former dust fairy, Zarina, Tink is no longer a Tinker. She now has Silvermist’s talent. Making her a water fairy. -- In Lawrence her talent adapts in such a way that allows her to manipulate water. Though due to remembering her life in Lawrence there is still a bit of a Tinker inside of her. -- Her ability to fly works much like the fairies in Once Upon A Time. She can hide her wings and stay life sized when needed. But when she wants to fly she can reveal her wings and shrink down to fairy size.
Brief History: ”Have you ever wondered where nature gets its glow? Who gives it light and color as the seasons come and go. Who helps all creatures great and small; to walk, to swim, to fly. Who crafts such tiny details, you might see them if you try. For its all the work of fairies and they stay well out of sight. When the first time that a baby laughs a fairy’s life takes flight”
“Born in laughter, clothed in cheer, happiness has brought you here. Welcome to Pixie Hollow.”
On one of the final nights before the coming of spring a fairy was born from the first laugh of a baby on the mainland. The wind carried her towards the second star and straight on till Neverland where the wind created by a fast flying fairy, Vidia, carried her the rest of the way to the Pixie Dust Tree in the heart of Pixie Hollow. It is here that this young fairy was officially given life by the pouring of a cup of pixie dust. As she lifted her head she glanced around in awe at all the other fairies perched in the tree to witness the newest fairy to grace pixie hollow. Each of them hoping that she could be the newest member of their talent tree.
Upon the arrival of Queen Clarion her wings were lifted and she first took flight with the Queen’s guidance. With a wave of the Queen’s hand mushrooms sprung up around her; then a fairy from each talent guild brought a token signifying their guild. As this young fairy moved around the circle the sparks of hope that had lit up inside of her began diminish. Each token (nature, water and fast flying) she had tried showed her that, that talent wasn’t for her. As she walked passed a mushroom to try one at the end, the hammer next to it began to glow. The talent within this fairy was so strong that it brought the hammer to her. Something it had never done before. Though scared at first, the fairy reached out her hands and gripped the hammer. The resulting glow growing so bright that she had to turn her head away. When the light dimmed the Queen flew over to where she stood and placed her hands upon her shoulders. Facing the fairies perched in the tree she announced, “Come forward tinker fairies and welcome the newest member of your talent guild. Tinker Bell.”
The wonder of being a tinker fairy disheartened young Tinker Bell at first. Tinker fairies lived and worked in a small valley that paled in comparison to the beauty everywhere else in pixie hollow. After an unpleasant meeting with Vidia, Tink’s desire to see the mainland grows ten-fold. Her desire is so strong that she sets out on a quest to create a few inventions that would help with bringing spring. It’s only after her inventions fail that she learns that a tinker fairies work is in pixie hollow and that they never visit the mainland. Broken hearted Tink flies off. It’s only after a discussion with Fairy Mary that an idea forms in her head. That idea is to change her talent guild. The following day she asks her friends from the other guilds to teach her their talents. ‘Cause perhaps it was all a misunderstanding and tinkering wasn’t her talent after all as her inventions had failed. Her friends agree as it couldn’t hurt to at the very least try it out. Though Iridessa points out that she still believes this to be a bad idea. Only each and every time she tries she just isn’t able to master their talents. After repairing a lost thing that she finds near the shore and her friends refuse to teach her anymore, she flies off to Vidia. Perhaps Vidia will prove to be a better friend.
Vidia was reluctant to help her at first but gives in and offers advice on how Tink could prove her worth. By gathering the wild thistles. The thistles would continuously wreck havoc and no one had been able to keep them tame. This was her chance to prove that she wasn’t a Tinker. Tink with the help of Cheese -- the mouse -- set out on a quest to accomplish this task. Only that soon turned into a disaster when Vidia sabotaged her efforts and the thistles escaped from the meadow. Upon their escape they ran straight into the path of the fairies who were finishing the preparations for spring. With the preparations completely destroyed, Queen Clarion announces that spring will not be able to be brought to the mainland. It would take months to prepare everything that had been lost. So when the ever blossom blossomed at sunrise the next day they would all remain in pixie hollow.
”Yes, I can, because I’m a Tinker. It’s who I am. And Tinker’s fix things.”
Tink approached Queen Clarion moments after her announcement having been able to perfect her failed inventions. After proving that with her inventions simple tasks could be completely in nearly half the amount of time, Queen Clarion, entrusted the task of saving spring to Tinker Bell. Together with her friends and the other fairies they set out to do just that. Tink instructed them on how to build and use her inventions. The following morning as the sun rose over pixie hollow the queen returned to springtime square and found that due to Tinker Bell’s inventions all of the preparations for spring had been redone. Spring had been saved. When her friends asked the Queen if Tink could go to the Mainland with them, Tink, told them that she didn’t need to go. Because her work was in Pixie Hollow. But Fairy Mary arrived at that exact moment followed by Clank, Bobble and Cheese who were carrying the lost thing she had repaired. The Queen then granted Tinker Bell the opportunity to go to the mainland and deliver it to the little girl who had lost it. And though Tink had accepted that a Tinker’s job was in Pixie Hollow she was still overjoyed to visit the mainland and in awe of seeing the fairies bring spring to the mainland.
