In a nutshell Tink is cute, sassy and adorable. But for a fairy so tiny she has the largest heart imaginable. You could be as mean as you could be to her and with a little time she will have moved passed it. Because for Tinker Bell friendship and love is everything. They are to be cherished and nurtured. Friendship also means sacrifice. If ever a friend is in danger she will sacrifice her own life to save them. It is this that also makes her quite brave.
br> But don’t let the cute, sassy and adorable image fool you. She is also quite hot tempered. When something gets her really angry her entire body turns red until she explodes. It is generally wise to just let her get the outburst over with and not try and talk her down from it. Doing so may only exacerbate the situation. Think also has a tendency to get jealous from time to time.
Tink is above all else a hard worker. Though she is young and naive in most matters she gives every task 100% of her concentration. Always out to try and fix something and invent a new creation because that is what tinkers do.
At times Tink can also be stubborn. When she has her mind set to something she carries it through. Even if it is against the rules. Quite often her curious nature gets the best of her and she gets herself involved in situations that mark disapproval.
Thanks to a former dust fairy, Zarina, Tink is no longer a Tinker. She now has Silvermist’s talent which makes her a water fairy. Her new talent adapts in such a way that allows her to manipulate water. Though due to remembering her life as a tinker she is still a bit of a Tinker deep down. Manipulating water just comes easier now.
Her ability to fly works much like the fairies in Once Upon A Time. She can hide her wings and stay life sized when needed. But when she wants to fly she can reveal her wings and shrink down to fairy size.
On one of the final nights before the coming of spring a fairy was born from the first laugh of a baby on the mainland. The wind carried her towards the second star and straight on till neverland where the wind created by a fast flying fairy, Vidia, carried her the rest of the way to the Pixie Dust Tree. It is here that this young fairy was officially given life by the pouring of a cup of pixie dust. As she lifted her head she glanced around in awe at all the other fairies perched in the tree to witness the newest fairy to grace pixie hollow.
Upon the arrival of Queen Clarion her wings were lifted and she first took flight with the Queen’s guidance. With a wave of the Queen’s hand mushrooms sprung up in which a fairy from each talent guild brought a token signifying their guild. As this young fairy moved about that sparks of hope that lit up inside of her diminished. Each token she tried showed her that that talent wasn’t for her. As she walked passed a mushroom to try one at the end, the hammer began to glow. The talent within this fairy was so strong that it brought the hammer to her. Though scared at first, the fairy took her hands and gripped the hammer the glow growing so bright that she had to turn her head away. When the light dimmed the Queen flew over to where she stood and placed her hands upon her shoulder. Facing the fairies perched in the tree she announced, “Come forward tinker fairies and welcome the newest member of your talent guild. Tinker Bell.”
The wonder of being a tinker fairy disheartened young Tinker Bell at first. Tinker fairies lived and worked in a small valley that paled in comparison to the beauty everywhere else in pixie hollow. After an unpleasant meeting with Vidia, Tink’s desire to see the mainland grows ten-fold. Her desire is so strong that she sets out on a quest to create a few inventions that would help with bringing spring. It’s only after her inventions fail that she learns that a tinker fairies work is in pixie hollow and that they never visit the mainland. Broken hearted Tink walks off. It’s only after a discussion with Fairy Mary that an idea forms in her head. That idea is to change her talent guild. The following day she asks her friends from the other guilds to teach her their talents. ‘Cause perhaps it was all a misunderstanding and tinkering wasn’t her talent as her inventions had failed. Her friends agree as it couldn’t hurt to at the very least try it out. Only each and every time she just isn’t able to master their talents. After repairing a lost thing that she found near the shore and her friends refuse to teach her anymore, she flies off to Vidia.
Vidia was reluctant to help her at first but gives in and offers advice on how Tink could prove her worth. By gathering the wild thistles. The thistles would continuously wreck havoc and no one had been able to keep them tame. Tink with the help of Cheese the mouse set out on a quest to accomplish this task. Only that soon moved into disaster when Vidia sabotaged her efforts and the thistles escaped from the meadow and ran straight into the path of the fairies who were finishing the preparations to bring spring to the mainland. With the preparations completely destroyed Queen Clarion announces that spring will not be able to be brought to the mainland on time and that when the ever blossom blossomed at sunrise the next day they would all remain in pixie hollow.
Tink approached Queen Clarion having perfected her failed inventions. After proving that with her inventions simple tasks could be completely in nearly half the amount of time, Queen Clarion entrusted the task of saving spring to Tinker Bell. Together with her friends and other fairies, Tink instructed them how to build and use her inventions. The following morning as the sun rose over pixie hollow the queen returned to springtime square and found that due to Tinker Bell’s inventions all of the preparations for spring had been redone. Spring had been saved. The Queen granted Tinker Bell the opportunity to go to the mainland and deliver the lost thing that she had repaired earlier to the little girl who had lost it. And though Tink had accepted that a Tinker’s job was in Pixie Hollow she was still overjoyed to visit the mainland and in awe of seeing the fairies bring spring to the mainland.
Tink’s penchant for getting herself into trouble is a common theme throughout her life. Her inventions though seemingly helpful often create situations whilst still in their early development stages. However, when it comes time for the fall harvest and time of the blue moon, Fairy Mary approaches the Queen and offers Tinker Bell up for a very important task. That task is the creation of the fall scepter. Every year a very special fairy is chosen to create the fall scepter that will hold the blue moonstone. The blue moonstone when placed on the pedestal will attract the light from the moon and bring the blue pixie dust. Tinker Bell is honored to be given this task and begins designing the scepter at once. Her friend Terence who is a dust fairy helps her at first, but his enthusiasm causes the scepter to be broken and in her rage Tinker Bell throws him out. During her rage Tinker Bell also manages to break the moonstone into tiny pieces.
After attending fairy theater one evening she sets out on a journey to find the magic mirror that granted wishes. The story told that two wishes had been granted by the mirror and Tink was determined to find the lost treasure and make the final wish. Her wish being for a moonstone to replace the one that had been broken. Along the way she befriends a lightning bug named Blaze who travels with her. Upon finding the mirror Tink once again gets angry at Blaze for being loud. She accidentally wishes for him to be quiet thus using the final wish from the mirror. Not long after she begins to cry over her guilt for how she treated Blaze, Terence and for once again being a disappointment. However, Terence finds her and they begin the journey back to pixie hollow.
Upon their return, Tink presents the fall scepter causing Fairy Mary to faint at the sight of the moonstone broken into tiny pieces. However, Terence and Tink had created the fall scepter with this fact in mind and as the moonlight touched the scepter it shown through each and every piece before creating pixie dust. Due to the scepter’s design the blue pixie dust that fell was 5x the amount that had ever fallen.
Before Tinker Bell met Peter Pan and went on adventures with him. Before she even met Wendy Darling and her two brothers. Before she would meet Wendy’s daughter she met a young girl. This girl believed in fairies and what one would find in a picture book but her father discouraged this belief. The little girl, Elizabeth, created a fairy house that Tink and Vidia happen upon. Tink being the curious fairy that she was entered into the house to explore and winds up captured. Elizabeth takes the fairy house back inside her home and places Tink within a cage because she wanted a friend. At first Tink was wary of being around her and was absolutely frightened. But once she had learned that all Elizabeth wanted was a friend her genuine need for friendship herself took over. When Elizabeth’s father found out about Tink he tried to capture her but instead captured Vidia as the fast flying fairy had pushed her out of the way last minute. The rest of the fairies set out with Elizabeth to rescue Vidia before Elizabeth’s father could harm her. After rescuing Vidia all the fairies gathered the following day for a picnic with Elizabeth and her father. It is here that he read the book that Elizabeth had written with Tinker Bell’s help describing the responsibilities each fairy had. Terence returns from delivering pixie dust to the other fairy camps scattered around the mainland and tells Tink that she had found something to fix. Before he had left for his deliveries Tink had been wondering what she could find to tinker with; and her answer had come in the most mysterious of ways. She had brought together a father and daughter who had grown apart and gained a friend in the process.
As the preparations are underway for winter to be brought to the mainland, Tink is fascinated with the idea of the winter woods. She is disheartened to learn that warm fairies aren’t allowed in the winter woods and that winter fairies aren’t allowed to come on their side. When Fawn was occupied Tinker Bell flew across to the other side of the log and stood in awe of winter. As snowflakes began to fall on her face she felt her wings begin to glow. After Fawn pulls her back they find that Tink’s wings had partially frozen. When no one will believe her that her wings actually glowed and that the winter woods were calling to her, Tink went to the library. She was determined to find a book that explained why they glowed. Only when she found the one and only book on fairy wings she also found that the bookworm had eaten the section she needed.
One of the other tinker fairies explained to her that the only one who would have the knowledge contained in those broken pages would be the keeper. However the keeper is a winter fairy so she will never be given the chance to meet him. This is not enough for Tink and she creates a coat and warm clothing to wear in the winter woods. When completed she realizes that she can’t fly and intends to use the final shipment of baskets to take her across. After stowing away she found herself in awe of the winter woods. Though her plans never go to plan as the owl that brought her basket across was quite new and managed to drop the basket at an odd angle that caused it to land on its side. Her bag emptied of her belongings including the book she was bringing to the keeper. After gathering up her things Tink realized that the book had slid out away from the basket and was resting on the ice.
Lord Malori the Lord of Winter happened to find the book when Tink was unable to slide herself over and grab a hold of it. He took it off to the keeper where Tink followed behind. It is here that she learns that there is another fairy whose wings are glowing, a winter fairy. The keeper takes them up onto the snowflake and they watch the laugh that had given birth to the two of them. As a result of being born of the same laugh they are sisters. Tinker Bell soon finds that her sister Periwinkle is very much like she is. They both collect lost things only Periwinkle calls them found things. After showing her what a winter fairy does and teaching her how to sled and ice skate they spend the evening talking at Peri’s place. Tinker Bell creates a warm fire to keep herself warm as the nighttime chill had fallen over the winter woods. As they talk Peri mentions how she would love to see the butterflies and springtime square. An idea forms in Tinker Bells mind. For she had made it warm by creating a fire there and it was possible she could make it cold on the warm side. Just as the sisters were beginning celebrate the idea the sound of ice cracking is heard. Creating the fire hadn’t been the greatest of ideas. When the ice completely cracked the two sisters began falling to the ground. Peri used her wings to fly but Tink kept falling as her jacket which was keeping her wings from freezing also prevented her from flying. Peri tried to keep her from falling by holding her hand and using her own wings but it wasn’t an easy task.

Myka had left them at the Roadhouse with everyone else who was staying behind. Tink wished she would stay with them. As much as the older woman frustrated her - with all her rules and suggestions - she felt the most safe with her and Claudia. Spending time with them often took her mind off her friends in Pixie Hollow and how much she missed them. Lawrence, dangerous as it was, had gifted her with a family of sorts. If she couldn't have her sister then at least she had them. Losing Helena had been hard but they'd all somehow carried on. Something she had quickly grasped onto was that people came and went and you had to get used to it. No one was in your life forever. A harsh lesson for her to learn but one she had nevertheless.
Hearing Aidan begin to fuss, Tink turned her eyes to him, and furrowed her brow. What was she supposed to do? Myka had said to keep an eye on him and that they would be fine. But he was just a baby. And wasn't a baby's bond with their mother and father a powerful thing? Couldn't they sense immediately when they were gone or in danger? She truly knew nothing about babies. Save for what little she'd learned from being around him. Before meeting Aidan babies were merely what gave life to fairies. Their first laugh making it possible for Pixie Hollow and the Winter Woods to be as full as it was.
Immediately her eyes lit up. "That's it!" Tink exclaimed. She couldn't bring Myka back for Aidan but she could keep him distracted. And what better way than to tell him about her life before coming here? Picking him up exactly how she had been taught, Tink, brought him to her lap. Exceedingly grateful that she had her voice back. Living without it had been trying and the once tiny fairy had given up on trying to communicate through other means.
"Did you know that babies just like you give life to fairies?" Tink began. "One tiny laugh and off we go flying to Pixie Hollow or the Winter Wood where we each receive our talent. Queen Clarion rules over Pixie Hollow. Her wings were a bright gold. Every fairy was there to meet me. But it wasn't until my talent was revealed that she called me Tinker Bell."
